To Understand Perseverance
What is perseverance? Is it truly the idealism of not losing sight of the light at the end of the tunnel? Do we push onward in order to see to the success of our goals and dreams? Or do we continue to fight because we do not want to feel guilty for having been defeated?
Site Updates
11/16/2009 - Still no new chapter... Don't see it being done until the Thanksgiving Break. However, it was also being considered making the website into a members-only sort of thing, in which the main story would be the only publicly visible page. Feedback on this would be nice.
- Main character section was updated to include a new character's name. Profile for the new character won't be up until closer to his appearance in the story, though.
11/15/2009 - No new chapter update yet, sorry. Loads of HW being assigned before Thanksgiving Break, it's frankly rather annoying. However, chapter production has in fact started, and currently the chapters has about 500 words.
- Main character section was updated to include birthdays. True, their ages were already given, but it gives a little more point of reference in regards to the Timeline section.
- Secondary character section was updated to include bios for Warhammer, Samuel's parents, and the seemingly-random girl Suzanna. But obviously, if she gets to be in this section and the Adlan doctor does not, she isn't as random as she seems now is she? =P
11/12/2009 - a.k.a. the leftovers of yesterday's updates.
- 'List of Artes' section was added. This section, aside from the story itself, will probably be one of the longest sections to remain under construction. The task itself is basically coming up with an entire moveset for each character, which will definitely take quite a long time to plan and write out. Today, I've put up Peter's Fire and Thunder Elemental Artes, as well as a few of his non-magical Artes. Most of Samuel's Base Arte have also been added.
- Tales of Heroism now has a logo! Though temporary (it definitely needs to be colored), it's also hand-drawn! Submissions are still being accepted, if you would like to provide a better logo for the site (BTW, the logo is the picture at the top-left corner of every page). Please email logos and logo suggestions to the site email (see Contact and Disclaimer section).
- Commentaries section updated, with more commentary on chapters one and two.
- The second spin-off has been posted; it's title is "A Perfect Pie." The third spin-off's title has been posted also, but it isn't due to be posted until later within the next few weeks. Of course, this implies that the Commentaries section has also been updated; commentaries are now listed in chronological order, as they correlate to the actual story. Thus, you will see that the second spin-off's commentary is now first on the list.
- A 'Timeline' section has been added. As with character bios, the timeline will stay up-to-date with the most recently released chapter. Note that this timeline will only have events that occur during the span of this story, with the exception of several events that occur within close proximity of the story's occurrence. It is not meant to be a historical reference for the doings of Eldane and surrounding nations.
- The Atlas was updated to include all of the geographical locations that have been visited thus far (with the exception of Death Valley from SO#2). When Chapter 3 is put up, Sinua Swamplands will be updated, as well as any other locations the party visits within the chapter.
11/11/2009 - Happy Veteran's Day! A TON of updates coming right up!
- 'Character Bios' section was renamed 'Main Characters,' and a separate section for 'Secondary Characters' was added.
- Character bios for playable characters updated.
- Character bios were changed so as to not reveal spoilers. However, they stay current with the most recently posted chapter, so new readers may find some of the information as spoiler-worthy, though to the site they wouldn't be. See the Main Characters section for more information.
- An "Atlas" section was also added. This section is intended to provide readers with a more descriptive characterization of cities and other geographical areas of interest. However, note that both this and the 'Secondary Characters' sections are currently left blank; they will be updated later when more time to work on them can be allocated.
- Tales of Heroism now has its own email! Check out the Contact and Disclaimer page and see!
- Added a "Spin-offs" section, where 'skit-like' stories will be posted. Most are for humor purposes, character development, and/or further insight in concepts in the story. Be sure to take a look! The first spin-off has also been posted.
- A "Commentaries" section has been added, in which chapters and spin-offs will be discussed in the view of the author. Chapter-specific questions will be answered here, too.
Also, If anyone has any ideas for a site logo (or would like to draw one themselves), please let me know. I will gladly take anything that's not the blank box I currently have.
11/07/2009 - The website is born!

- Chapter 1 and 2 updated under 'Story' tab.
